My split system remote controller isn’t working?

  1. If there is no display on the air conditioning remote control, then check the batteries.
  2. To remove the batteries slide the remote panel down to reveal the other buttons, when it stops give it an extra tug to slide the panel off completely.
  3. The battery compartment should now be exposed.
  4. If replacing the batteries does not fix the issue, then make a note of the model number (ARC) on the back of the remote and contact Leumeah Air Conditioning for a replacement.
  5. Alternatively, there are some remotes that can be purchased from our website – visit our store.
  6. If the remote has a display but it is not controlling the air conditioner, there maybe an issue with one of the boards inside the air conditioner.
  7. To test this, try resetting the system from the main power source, switch off the power to the air conditioner and leave off for 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. When you switch the system back on, leave it for 15 mins to reboot itself.
  9. If in summer, set the temperature to 16 degrees Celsius.
  10. Ensure that the air conditioner is set to cooling mode (The snowflake symbol).
  11. Now try to turn the air conditioner on and wait about 5 minutes for the air to flow out of the indoor unit.
  12. If you continue to have issues you will need a technician to assess.
  13. If in winter, set the temperature to 30 degrees Celsius.
