  5. Alternatively, there are some remotes that can be purchased from our website – visit our store.
  6. If the remote has a display but it is not controlling the air conditioner, there maybe an issue with one of the boards inside the air conditioner.
  7. To test this, try resetting the system from the main power source, switch off the power to the air conditioner and leave off for 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. When you switch the system back on, leave it for 15 mins to reboot itself.
  9. If in summer, set the temperature to 16 degrees Celsius.
  10. Ensure that the air conditioner is set to cooling mode (The snowflake symbol).

Ducted System Indoor Units

  1. If your air conditioner's indoor unit is in the roof there will be a safety tray installed below the unit or built-in to catch any condensate that overflows, this will then drain to a drainage pipe
  2. The condensate drainage pipe will usually come out of the side of your house into the gutter or may be run to an internal water pipe system.
  3. If you see water leaking, either from the air conditioning indoor unit or through the gyprock ceiling, switch OFF your air conditioning system immediately and contact Leumeah Air Conditioning.

Ducted System Outdoor Units

  1. The condensate drain on the outdoor unit works when the system is in heating mode, usually during the winter months.
  2. A drain kit may have been installed at installation, but is not normally the case as it is usually unnecessary.
  3. If the air conditioner's outdoor unit is located on a balcony or high traffic area, it maybe possible to install a drain kit for you.
  4. Water can also come from your outdoor unit if it’s iced up.
  5. This can mean that that there is a problem with the system… generally a refrigerant gas issue.
  6. If the ambient temperature near and around the air conditioner is close to zero degrees Celsius, there should be a minor build-up of ice on the coil's fins.
  7. Usually the air conditioner's defrost control will engage and the defrost cycle will begin.
  8. In this case, your air conditioner is operating as per normal.
  9. If however, the amount of ice build-up is like a solid block of ice, then there may be an issue.
  10. Please call Leumeah Air Conditioning for a diagnosis service.

Split System Outdoor Units

Please call Leumeah Air Conditioning for a diagnosis service.

Split System Indoor Units

  1. Indoor dirt, dust and debris can build up inside the air conditioner; When these contaminants get mixed with humidity then the condensate drain can get blocked.
  2. Regular servicing should keep air conditioning drain clear.
  3. Air Conditioning condensate drains can be run into the downpipes of the house.
  4. If the downpipe gets blocked with leaves and debris, water can back up into your air conditioner's condensate drain.
  5. If water is coming from your indoor unit switch OFF the air conditioner immediately and contact Leumeah Air Conditioning.
  1. Ducted systems can be designed with zones so that only certain parts of the house are air conditioned at any one time.
  2. Check that the zone switches are operational.
  3. If your home has 2 zones, turn one zone switch to off and the other to on. Check if air is coming out of the area that is “ON”
  4. Repeat the process by swapping the zones that would be on and off. Check if air is coming out of the other area that is “ON”
  5. Do not turn both zones “OFF”. This could cause damage to your air conditioning system.
  6. If your home has more than 3 zones, then run the above tests by leaving one zone “ON” and turning the others “OFF”. Repeat the process until every zone has been turned on and off at least once.
  7. If you find that the air flow is not satisfactory and are still having problems, please contact Leumeah Air Conditioning for a diagnosis service.
  1. Turn your air conditioner off at the mains switch or isolator.
  2. Leave the air conditioner off for at least 20 minutes and then switch back on.
  3. Check if the operation lights have stopped flashing.
  4. See if the unit will turn on and begin the air conditioning cycle.
  5. Run the air conditioner for about 20 minutes and check that no error codes occur on the wall controller.
  6. If in summer, check that cooled air conditioned air is coming out of the vents.
  7. If in winter, check that warm air conditioned air is coming out of the vents.
  8. If the problem still occurs, please contact Leumeah Air Conditioning for a diagnosis service.
